About

In his multi-jurisdictional legal practice, Mr. Crocker represents financial institutions, debt servicers and buyers, law firms, auto lenders, and collection agencies in a broad range of compliance, litigation, and regulatory defense matters. His litigation practice includes defending clients in individual lawsuits and class action matters involving the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and related federal and state consumer protection laws. He also assists members of the consumer financial services industry in investigations and enforcement matters initiated by state and federal regulatory agencies, including state Attorneys General, the Federal Trade Commission the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. In addition, his practice includes the representation of individuals, businesses and insurance carriers in commercial litigation and insurance defense litigation matters.

Experience

Mr. Crocker has served as a Law Clerk for the Hon. John H. McBryde, United States District Judge for the Northern District of Texas, and as an Intern for the Hon. Emilio C. Garza and Hon. Edward C. Prado when they were United States District Judges for the Western District of Texas. In addition to his experience as Chief Compliance Officer for a national collection agency and a national debt buyer, his experience in private practice has included representation of clients before the United States Court of Appeal for Fifth Circuit and the United States Court of Appeal for Tenth Circuit, various United States District Courts for the State of Texas, the Texas Supreme Court and Fifth Court of Appeals in Texas, and trial or appellate courts in Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin.

Awards & Recognition

Mr. Crocker is a past member of the Members Attorney Program of the ACA International, an international trade association of credit and collection professionals. He is the past compliance chair for the State of Texas Members Attorney Program, serving as the liaison between the Texas ACA/MAP members and the national ACA/MAP members.

Mr. Crocker has been recognized with an AV Preeminent Rating® by Martindale Hubbell, having received such an endorsement by both his peers and the judiciary..

Personal

During the winter months, Kevin is an avid skier. When the temperatures are warmer, you can find him on the tennis courts, on the hiking trails, or near his grill.
