Liara Aurelia Silva



Liara Aurelia Silva is a litigation attorney in our Austin office and works with our Bankruptcy and Reorganization Practice Group and our Consumer Financial Services Law Group.



Ms. Silva has significant experience guiding large and small clients through complex legal challenges in both California and Texas.


Ms. Silva has represented a wide range of clients including banking institutions, educational institutions, and various public agencies. Her practice has included providing counsel in all aspects of education and employment law, including contractual issues, discrimination and harassment investigations, and Title IX investigations initiated by the Department of Education. In addition, Ms. Silva has extensive experience as a litigator, having represented clients in employment and business litigation matters.

Prior to beginning her practice, Ms. Silva interned with several governmental agencies, including the Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division and the Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General, Civil Rights Division.

Ms. Silva is a native Spanish speaker and is able to assist clients with any Spanish language needs.

Awards & Recognition

Ms. Silva has provided pro bono legal services advocating for the rights of English language learners in schools as well as youth seeking Special Immigrant Juvenile Status in order to obtain lawful permanent residence in the United States.  She is a recipient of the Boston College Law School Pro Bono Excellence Award.


Outside of the office, Ms. Silva can be found at Austin’s local parks hiking or practicing yoga.
